Hands crossed over his chest as a huff escaped his lips.
Eyes narrowing at his reflection, he lets his shoulders drop. Who knew the art of seduction could be so difficult.
He cleared his throat, an uncharacteristic anxiety in the tense lines of his body, before he opened his mouth and spoke.
“Do you live in a corn field?” A simple enough opening, and not one that immediately screamed his intentions. He paused for a beat, before; “because I'm stalking you.”
He squinted, head tipping forwards, just so a blond fringe could fall over his eyes. Why was this so difficult?
He shook his once, trying to recompose himself, and tried another.
“You look cold... Want to use me as a blanket?” He forced himself to remain in eye contact with his reflection, even as he felt a ever so slight warmth colour his ears.
It was, strange. That people could talk for freely of these matters.
Growing up, Uther had always taught him such conversations were to be kept private, behind locked doors, only for discussion with those for whom mutual trust and understanding of the situation was established.
Arthur scowled, turning away from the mirror, so he could pace.
Despite this, Arthur was not blind to the changes in socal conduct that had been occurring within the kingdom. Especially after his father’s passing.
He wanted to move with them. To keep up with everything that happened. Every shift and ripple.
But, more importantly than any of that. Arthur wanted to proved to Gwaine, that he most certainly knew how to and could use pickup lines, thank you very much.
And, that he could absolutely, use them to land his Mer- um, target.
Yes. He decided. Anything his unruly knight could do he could do also.
As long as he had enough time to prepare himself.
