Merlin yanked the telly cord out of the wall. The tinny voice stopped.
“Damn it, Arthur! I knew Sophia was playing you.”
“You never said she was an undercover reporter.”
“You knew she was too good to be true! Now you'll just sign autographs and fend off damsels ‘in distress’ while I do all the work!”
Arthur kicked his feet back on the sofa, smug.
“Jealous?”
“God yes. Think Sophia would like another scoop?”
