Author's Notes: I just wanted Merlin to have a bit of fun and come to think of it, I'm not even sure tambear13 okayed this one. It might not be beta-ed....I'm not even sure. LOL
Oh, this party was fun! Merlin gulped down the rest of his beer and threw himself back on the make-shift dance floor that was actually Gwaine’s living room.
“Your parties are the best,” he shouted over the loud music when he saw the host and birthday boy.
Gwaine came close. “Then I should be rewarded with a kiss!”
Merlin happily obliged. Just as it was fun being with Gwaine, it was fun kissing him. The playful way his tongue snaked into his mouth, the way it always felt good but never too serious.
When they pulled back, they both danced close for a while before turning to dance with others.
His turn let him bump straight into Lance. Mmm, tall, dark-haired, earnest Lance. Who leaned in and whispered “Where’s my kiss, Merlin?” Laughing, Merlin pressed his lips to Lance’s. They were so different from Gwaine’s. Soft and warm with just the right pressure. Not immediately parting and wanting more, but promising a lot more if only he wanted to. But that wasn’t on Merlin’s mind tonight, so he pulled back after a while, winked at Lance and bounced away.
Elyan stood at the desk and just opened another bottle of beer when Merlin wrapped his arms around him from behind. “For me? You shouldn’t have!” He chuckled and pressed a kiss on Elyan’s neck. When Elyan turned his head laughing, Merlin captured his lips in a quick smooch. He knew Elyan wasn’t really into kissing blokes, but hey, he was drunk and therefore forgiven, right? Elyan just grinned, handed him the bottle and wriggled out of his arms.
Bopping along to the rhythm of the song, Merlin sipped his beer. He had a great time. And most likely a killer hangover tomorrow, but he couldn’t care less about that now.
Leon came over and raised his beer bottle in greeting. “Hey.”
“Hi,” Merlin clinked bottles with him and drank some more. He grinned goofily. “Wanna snog?” It was not like he was on a mission to kiss all the good-looking blokes at the party. He just loved to kiss and it was so much fun to watch Leon blush all shades of red at the blunt question.
“Sure, why not?”
Merlin sat the bottle aside, wrapped his arms around the taller guy and stretched a bit. Leon was a great kisser. Gentle at first, as if he kissed for the first time and then the kiss deepened and Merlin sighed into it. He loved the slight scratch of stubble Leon’s not-quite-beard provided.
When they broke for air, Merlin felt a bit light-headed. Damn, that was good.
But when Leon reached for him again, Merlin blew him a kiss and bounced away.
As he danced some more, he saw Percy leaning against the wall and danced over, trying to convince him to dance with him. But Percy, as gracefully as he moved when sports were involved, wasn’t the best of dancers and just shook his head, laughing. So Merlin wrapped his arms around Percy’s middle and looked up at him with what he hoped were the best puppy eyes nobody could resist. At least Percy couldn’t, he leaned down and carefully kissed Merlin. Mmmm, perfect. Merlin closed his eyes and enjoyed the almost chaste kiss. Percy always kissed as if he were afraid to break his partner, so Merlin urged him on a bit by parting his lips eagerly. Now they were talking!
He shook his head no when Percy whispered a suggestion to find a bedroom into his ear.
Where did he leave this beer again? Oh well, he could as well take a fresh cool one. As he put it to his lips and tilted his head back to drink greedily, he felt strong arms wrapping around his waist and lips pressing into his neck. “Hey there.”
“Hey. Think you got enough for tonight?”
Merlin laughed. “Nope, never enough. There is not enough kissing in this world!”
“You just didn’t kiss the right one yet.” Mmm, those lips on his heated skin felt great.
“I didn’t? They were all great.” He closed his eyes.
“I don’t doubt that. But they weren’t right.”
“And who’s right, then?” Merlin grinned, loving the challenge.
Arthur turned him around and smirked. “Let’s go home and I’ll show you.”
