“You guys really should get out more,” Arthur said, looking at Merlin and Morgana.
Merlin and Morgana turned to look at each other. “We just like being at home together,” Merlin replied while Morgana nodded, “It’s just the way we are.”
Gwen smiled. “I can relate. I’d rather be home with the baby than working all day.”
“I know, right?” Morgana added. She rubbed her big belly. “Once this little one arrives, I’m going to quit and stay home with her. We don’t need the extra income and we’d rather raise our child ourselves.”
“That’s so sweet I’m getting a cavity,” Arthur said. “You seem so sure. What if you change your mind?”
“I won’t,” Morgana replied. “We’ve talked this over a lot and always come to the same conclusion.”
Gwen reached her hand over to pat Morgana’s. “Well I think you have the right idea.”
“Thanks Gwen.” Morgana smiled.
Merlin glanced at his watch. “It’s about time for us to get home. We both have early days tomorrow.”
They all stood. Merlin and Arthur shook hands while Gwen and Morgana embraced. Gwen hugged Merlin as well. “Thanks for coming out with us tonight,” she said.
“Of course,” Merlin said. “We wouldn’t miss a date with our favorite couple.”
Merlin and Morgana waved on last goodbye and walked out the door.
