“So, Merlin and Morgana,” Arthur asked, “what are your plans for Christmas?”
As usual, Arthur had caught Merlin while chewing, so Morgana answered. “We’re going to Merlin’s mum’s house. We’ll be back here before New Year’s Eve.” She then leaned over and whispered something in Merlin’s ear which caused him to blush.
Gwen giggled while Arthur commented, “Why Merlin, you’re as red as I’ve ever seen you, and that’s saying something.”
“What did you tell him?” asked Gwen.
“That’s for me to know and him to find out,” Morgana replied with a wink.
“Well, that sounds interesting,” said Arthur.
“Oh, it will be,” Merlin replied.
“Merlin!” Morgana nudged him hard.
“What?” He grinned.
“Oh, I see,” said Gwen.
“Am I missing something?” asked Arthur.
Everyone but Arthur burst into laughter. “Artie, you’re so blond,” Morgana replied after they’d all calmed down.
Arthur folded his arms and stared her down. “Fine.”
“I’ll show you later,” Gwen told him.
“Oh. Ohhh.”
“You’ve got it now,” Merlin said. “But you’ll have to work out your own details. I’m not sharing those.”
This time they all laughed then got on with dinner. For some reason, both couples were anxious to get home.
