Author's Notes: This is way past the deadline. 17+ hours! Not sure if it’ll be counted this time but the sole fact that the masterpost hasn’t been posted made me not want to give up and I finished it. Finally! This is super rough. Uninventive title. And thank you very much to elirwen for looking this over!
"C'mon Cols, live a little," Bradley said as he dragged Colin along by the arm. They'd gotten a two-hour break in-between shoots and had decided to go to the park in front of the studio, where a fair was going on and the newest maypole had been erected.
It was lively and crowded with sunshine and cheer permeating the air. They bumped into people, their excited chatter making something pleasant unfurl in his chest as Colin realised he was just another face in the crowd.
It was inexplicably freeing.
The people had formed a circle right in the middle and were merrily dancing around the maypole. Bradley pulled him along, like a beacon in the crowd, waving a hand to someone at one end as they slotted themselves into the circle, palms joined and sweaty, swinging along with the melody.
“This is fun, isn’t it?” Bradley said over all the noise. His hair shone in the sunlight and a bead of sweat travelled down his chin to his adam's apple making all the air rush out of Colin’s lungs. Jesus, he could kiss him right now.
Colin laughed instead. “Yes, it’s brilliant!”
