Long Ago and Far Away
"I am happy you're removing the magic ban, Arthur, but I wish you'd look more comfortable around sorcerers."
"I'll get there, Merlin. Rome wasn't built in a day."
"It means, it takes time to get that far."
"I know. But what is Rome? Or should I ask where?"
"It's an old saying, Merlin."
"Of course. I was just curious—"
"It's a... strange, faraway place, where it's always sunny and servants are quiet and obedient."
"You'd like it there, then." Realizing that Arthur would never admit to not knowing anything about Rome, Merlin shrugged. "I'll ask Gaius."
