Stranger in Paradise
Arthur slept. His body rested, protected from all harms, even from aging and time itself. But his mind was awake, and as if in dreams, he wandered all over the magical island of Avalon.
It was a beautiful, peaceful place. Soft music filled the air. Sweet scents drifted on the balmy breezes. It was always sunny, but never too hot, nor too dry. There were bright flowers in the flowing grasses, where the shimmering Sidhe gathered to dance in the evenings. The sky above was blue, the seas surrounding the island were azure. Dolphins frolicked in the white-capped waves.
Avalon was a true paradise, and it never changed.
To Arthur, it was a prison.
He yearned every day to be allowed to wake, to move, to leave, and to resume his life.
Wherever Merlin was - that's where he wanted to go, and that's where he'd find his real paradise.
