The alarm clock went off far too early for Percival’s liking. His body still felt heavy with sleep and he was beginning to regret the late night when a warm arm across his stomach started to move, fingers almost digging into his side.
Percival looked over to the other pillow with a large mop of dark brown hair splayed across it. Okay, so there was no way he regretted last night. He’d have to grin and bear the consequences.
His alarm went off for the third time. He needed to get out of the bed and into the shower now or he would end up being late for work. Percival carefully lifted the long, rough fingers from their grip on his side and raised the other man’s arm far enough up so he could slip out from under it. There was a moan of protest before Gwaine rolled to his other side and went back to sleep. Percival shook his head and walked into the bathroom.
Since he was already naked, he opened the shower door and turned the tap to make the hot water start running .He turned on the cold tap and fiddled until he felt the water was just right. He stepped into it and closed the transparent door.
Half asleep, Percival enjoyed the warm water falling on to the top of his head and down his back for a few moments. He washed his hair and his well-muscled and toned body methodically.
After lathering his body in soap, he moved around under the water stream to make sure it all ran off before tossing his head back and rinsing the conditioner out of his hair.
The hot water felt so good as it landed on his head, massaging it. He ran his fingers back through his hair then leaned his head forward.
Most of the water fell down his neck and back, but small streams found their way to his face and fell from blonde eyebrows, the tops of his ears and his well sculptured jaw.
When he finally looked up, he saw Gwaine leaning leisurely against the wall.
“You’re not the only one who needs a shower before work this morning,” Gwaine grinned.
