-Homer, The Odyssey
Sometimes Merlin truly believes he remembers what Arthur looked like. He can picture blond hair shining in the sun and those blue eyes sparkling at him. But it's been so long and he has to wonder, is he remembering Arthur, his king, or is his memory affected by the resulting myths and legends of him? There were no portraits painted, no tapestries woven, and, of course, no photographs taken of the man he knew, so how can Merlin be certain what he remembers is the truth? Will he even recognize Arthur when rises again? What will happen if he doesn't?
