I Am His, He is Mine
She could see all, from her glass castle beneath the lake. She watched him as he strove to keep the King alive and build a new world. She watched as Arthur was mortally wounded and brought to the island. She watched as Camelot fell, Albion with it and watched as civilisations rose, fell and rose again. She watched her love struggle, his destiny stripped away and replaced by another. She, who was the Lady of the Lake, and guardian of Excalibur, watched as he travelled far and wide, keeping magic in the world.
And she? She was there for him, she would wait for him, and help him pave the way for Arthur’s return, in any way she could. For now they were joined in a common destiny, a common goal. Their lives entwined since the moment they first met and in ways they could never have foreseen. For when he made her Lady of the Lake, she became much more than a spirit. She became the ruler of Avalon. The Goddess of the lakes and streams, and the guide to the other-world. She watched over Arthur as he slept.
Separately, they were rulers of their own worlds, but when they joined together, they were the magic of the earth and water, the moon and sun. They were dark and light and everything in between.
She watched and she waited, until the water bubbled and the Vilia and Water Nymphs sang, that he was returning to be by her side.
She was his, and he was hers, their love as eternal as they were.
Together they would bring back the King.
