Author's Notes: Here's my attempt to write a properly short Drabble.

Merlin got the biggest shock of his life when he peered around the corner.
The King Arthur statute shimmered. In the night-time gloom of the museum's Roman wing, its usual cold white marble sheen was nowhere to be seen. That didn't matter right now. What was infinitely more fascinating was that THE STATUE WAS MOVING.
Crikey.
He knew he shouldn't have had that pint before his shift tonight.
Or maybe Will's "Night at the Museum" jokes had finally got to him.
The figure continued to move, slowly, then more fluidly. It-he?-stretched his arms and flexed his chest. He turned his head and his blond-white hair glinted. Something clanked, and he made as if to stride purposefully away.
Oh no. It wasn't as if Merlin could call his supervisor and report Statues Coming To Life. The incident report paperwork was unthinkable.
He ran towards the exhibit with a cry. "Hey! Hey, you!"
The clanking stopped. So did Merlin's breath, as he realised what he was doing.
He swallowed and said shakily, " Stop! Museum Security! Where do you think you're going?"
The life -sized figure frowned at him. " Do I know you? "
Merlin blustered on blindly, " You've had your fun, my friend. Put the statute back and stop capering in your costume." Now that he was closer, Merlin could see quizzical blue eyes staring at him.
"Merlin?"
" How did you know -? " Merlin shrank back as the blond gripped his forearm and drew him in. " Ah! Don't touch me! You can't just..."
" It's me, you idiot! It's Arthur! "
With that, Merlin remembered.
