Author's Notes: I hope this makes some kind of sense. I did have some quality painkillers shortly before I wrote it. Surgery went well.
Merlin watched from behind the tapestry as Morgana's chamber door opened and closed. When she'd gone down the corridor a little way, he stole out from behind it as quickly as he could and began to follow her.
Eventually she left the castle for the cold, moonless night. No guards were around, as usual. Someday Merlin would have to talk to Arthur about that- the negligence could be dangerous for Camelot.
He might have made some noise as he stepped onto the stone courtyard, because Morgana paused to look behind her. Luckily he managed to dodge behind a pillar before she saw him.
She kept going toward the south gate, her favorite, he'd noticed. He tailed her there as soundlessly as he could though he knew he was still far from perfect, as Arthur's frequent complaints told him. Ahead, she brazenly pushed open the gate's door and step through. Of course there were no guards.
He hastened his steps so he wouldn't lose her. But as he stepped through the gate, she was nowhere to be seen. Disgusted with himself, he kicked the ground and stepped into the forest to try to make something of the night.
Several yards into the woods, something seized the back of his shoulders and spun him face-first into the nearest tree. “Did you think I wouldn't notice your obvious attempt to follow me?”
Morgana placed one arm on his chest and walked to his front. “You're pathetic.”
“I may be pathetic, but at least I'm not evil.”
She leaned closer, “Neither am I, remember?” And with that she planted her lips onto his.
“Mm, I do, actually. But I'm so glad you still like being chased. It's thrilling, you know.”
She didn't answer him right away- she was ravishing his mouth. And she continued to ravish it until he forgot he'd even said anything in the first place
