Merlin is positively pouting—a sorrowful look over his face—making his best impression of a miserable puppy. He sighs, slumping further down, basically becoming one with the sofa, he sighs again, very loudly, filling the gaps of silence drifting around them. And even when Arthur told himself he wouldn't be absolutely weak when it comes to Merlin, he does feel bad. He goes to sit next to Merlin, shoulders touching, index finger running up and down the veins on the back of Merlin's hand.
"Merlin, are you okay?" Arthur is met with silence, and this time he's the miserable one. "Look, I didn't mean to. I just go a bit impatient."
Merlin glares at him and Arthur so wants to erase the look from his face, shower him with kisses until Merlin is no longer upset. "You promised, Arthur. And I believed you. I mean, how am I supposed to trust you, when I can't even go to sleep without you watching the series finale by your lonesome self? You went behind my back."
Arthur drops his head on Merlin's shoulder, entwining their fingers together. "I'm truly sorry, but I just couldn't help myself. I needed to know, Merlin. One minute longer and I would've gone crazy."
"You are really being dramatic," Merlin says, chuckling and pulling Arthur towards him until he's got his head in Merlin's lap, not missing Arthur's amused snort.
"Like you're one to talk, you were actually mad because I've become a veritable fountain for Game of Thrones spoilers and you just want to keep me quiet," Arthur tells him, enjoying the feel of Merlin's fingers running in his hair. "You don't want me to ruin it for you."
"Yes, I do need to keep you quiet." Merlin's hand stills as he leans down, pressing his lips against Arthur's, kissing him languidly, unhurried. Just the glide of mouths and the clinking of teeth.
Arthur's eyes are closed when they part, a grin covering his lips now. "If that is how you intend to keep me from telling you everything, down to the littlest detail, then I might watch alone every show we have queued up on Netflix."
"You better not, Pendragon, or you will feel my wrath."
"Does that mean I'm forgiven now?"
"Depends, how creative can you get in bed?"
